New Life Fellowship of Churches

2018 Mission Trip

In October 2018, the New Life Fellowship of Churches launched its first fact-finding mission trip to Sierra Leone. The purpose of the trip was to engage with communities affected by the devastating 2017 mudslides and to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s needs and culture.
During the mission, the team visited the areas most impacted by the disaster, offering both compassion and support. Approximately 500 meals were served to local churches and schools, and donations from supporters in the U.S. were distributed to over 200 church members. Gift bags and a monetary seed offering were presented to 18 clinic staff and volunteer workers in recognition of their service.
In addition, valuable connections were established with the Ministry of Health. The team also toured two government clinics and one privately funded hospital—sponsored by a donor from Scotland—as well as held meetings with representatives from the Ministry of Education.
