2017 Sierra Leone Mudslides

In August of 2017, devastating mudslides occurred in and around Sierra Leone's capital city, Freetown. It was reported that over 1,000 people died from the mudslides and flood disaster. The aftermath resulted in a State of Emergency and left more than 3,000 people homeless and hundreds of buildings damaged or destroyed.

The New Life Fellowship of Churches wanted to learn how to help the people of Sierra Leone restore their lives from the devastating impact of the 2017 mudslides. In October 2017, the New Life Fellowship of Churches began global outreach to Sierra Leone and started collecting goods, shipping over 1,000lbs of supplies to people in Freetown.
